Rev. Craig Yoshihara
Senior Pastor
Rev. Craig comes to UJCC from Atlanta, Georgia where he completed his Master of Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. However, he is a native of California, having been born and raised in the Los Angeles area. He graduated from UCLA with degrees in Psychology and Political Science and received a Master of Arts in Political Science from CSU Long Beach.
Rev. Akiko Miyake-Stoner
Associate Pastor
Rev. Akiko graduated recently from the Pacific School of Religion where she completed her Master of Divinity degree. A California native, Akiko has long been a part of historically Japanese churches. She has recently served at Berkeley Methodist United Church and Lake Merritt UMC in the Bay Area. With a passion for caring for others, she is a welcome addition to the pastoral team at UJCC. Rev. Mas Kawashima
Japanese Language Pastor
Rev. Mas Kawashima is a retired minister from the United Methodist Church who graciously teaches Bible Study in Japanese language (Nihongo) twice a month. Before his retirement, he and his wife, Rev. Hope, served in churches across the country, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Oregon.
