UJCC Sunday House Worship Service
November 21, 2021 * Reign of Christ Sunday * Thanksgiving Sunday

The Peace of Christ be with you! We invite you to prepare for worship by lighting a candle. May it be a reminder that, wherever you are, is your sanctuary in this time of worship. May it be a reminder that you are inviting God’s spirit into your midst and that you are seeking to honor God in your worship.
Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.
-Henri Frederic Amiel
Call To Worship
Let us give thanks to God our Creator
for all gifts so freely bestowed upon us.
For the beauty and wonder of your creation,
in earth and sky and sea. We thank you, Lord.
For all that is gracious in the lives of men and women,
revealing the image of Christ, We thank you, Lord.
For our daily food and drink,
our homes and families, and our friends, We thank you, Lord.
For minds to think, and hearts to love,
and hands to serve, We thank you, Lord.
For health and strength to work,
and leisure to rest and play, We thank you, Lord.
For the brave and courageous,
who are patient in suffering and faithful in adversity, We thank you, Lord.
For all valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice, We thank you, Lord.
For the communion of saints,
in all times and places, We thank you, Lord.
Above all, we give you thanks
for the great mercies and promises
given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord;
To him be praise and glory, with you, O God,
and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen. (gg)

Psalm 126
1When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
3The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.
4Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like the watercourses in the Negeb.
5May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy.
6Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.
