Rev. Sab's Interview and His Message to UJCC

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

Dear UJCC family,

Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3)

Let us join together in prayer as we remember the life of Rev. Saburo Masada with gratitude.  He passed away peacefully on July 16, 2020 at home in Fresno.  His service will be at a later date after COVID has subsided.  We thank the Lord for Pastor Sab’s ministry and his spirit of justice, love, and inclusion.  We hold his wife Marion, daughters Charise, Michal (and husband Ed and son Joberto), Alisa, and all of the Masada family in our prayers.  May God's comfort and peace surround us all in this tender time.

Here we share some parts of the interview of Rev. Sab and Marion, which was done about two years ago for the Generosity Committee. After the formal interview, they just started to share their life story. We thought we should share this with you as you may eager to visit him and see him but cannot really do so due to the current circumstances. Marion agreed that this would be a good idea. She wants you to know how much Rev. Sab appreciated you for all the prayers and supports. We know that he is resting in peace in the eternally loving arms of the Father. We hope and pray that this video may help you to cope with grief and celebrate with us the life of Rev. Sab who impacted so many lives.
