"You've Got A Friend In Me"

For UJCC’s 25th Anniversary, Janelle Saito put together these poster boards together to celebrate the Tomodachi ministry.(“Tomodachi” means “friend” or “friends” in Japanese.)They include the photos from the very first Tomodachi road trip to Hearst Castle in June, 2000.The chaperones were Rev. Roger Morimoto and Youth Director Brett Shibata.

Helen Shirakawa and Janelle Saito became the first Tomodachi co-coordinators beginning late 2000.

Here’s a photo of the Tomodachi 2003 Christmas Party, too, shared with us by Rev. Keith Inouye.
